Principle of independent setting: Level 1 SIS logic solver should be separated from DCS;

Level 2 SIS logic solver should be separated from DCS;

Level 3 SIS logic solver must be separated from DCS;

Redundancy setting principle: Level 1 SIS can use a single logic solver;

Level 2 SIS should use redundant or fault-tolerant logic operators

The CPU power supply unit and communication unit should be configured with redundancy,

I/O modules should be configured with redundancy;

Level 3 SIS should use redundant fault-tolerant logic operators;

Among them, CPU power unit, communication unit, and I/O module

Redundant configuration should be provided;

I/O modules should be equipped with diagnostics and powered plug and drop;

SIS related on-site transmitters or final execution components shall be powered by the SIS system;

When the on-site transmitter signal is used for both SIS and DCS, it should be connected to the SIS system first and then to the

DCS system;

The sensors and final executing components connected to the I/O module should be designed as fault safe;

SIS should not use fieldbus communication method;
